The Pediatric Gastroenterology department at Rainbow Children’s Hospital is the largest in the country for diagnosing and managing Biliary Atresia and boasts of a success rate of almost 65%. Rainbow Children’s Hospital has saved extremely premature babies referred to the Gastro specialists here with the support of NICU setups. The expert team has managed small bowels as short as 15 cm using home PN, and has successfully got these children onto full enteral or oral feeding. The team also manages complex metabolic diseases like GSD, Tyrosinemia, MSUD using diet alone.The team of nutrition consultants also play a prominent role by preparing modular feeds, when needed.

The Pediatric Liver Transplant program at Rainbow Children’s Hospital has performed over 200 transplants with survival outcomes of above 90%.
