In UK he achieved higher qualification (MRCOG) and completed rigorous quality-controlled training programme (CCT) from various London Deanery Hospitals. He is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council, UK.

Dr Niraj has worked in several high-risk obstetric units in UK including the prestigious St Georges’ Hospital, London. He worked as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Kingston Hospital NHS Trust, London before returning to India. He was awarded scholarship from the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) towards training in Minimal Access Surgery from the University of Surrey, UK.

He had training in Laparoscopic surgery in Kiel University, Germany. He also had hands-on training in Robotic Surgery at North Texas Hospital in Dallas, USA. In the UK, he was invited to teach on various courses, including ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics), Basic Practical Skills Course run by the RCOG (Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists), and Laparoscopy course in the Minimal Access Therapy Training Unit in Guildford.

He has also published and presented papers in scientific journals and International meetings. He has co-authored several papers in peer-reviewed journals and in textbooks that are widely read in India, UK and other European countries.
